01About this website
This website is the official home of the Ademolu Royal Family, maintained to preserve and share the history of His Royal Majesty Oba Ademolu Fesogbade, 49th Awujale of Ijebuland, the customs of the Anikinaiya Ruling House, and the wider culture of Ijebuland. It is provided on a non-commercial basis for family members, researchers, and members of the public with an interest in this history.
02Accuracy of historical and genealogical content
The history, family tree, and archival material presented on this site have been compiled in good faith from family records, oral tradition, published scholarly sources, and archival references. We make reasonable efforts to ensure this information is accurate and properly attributed, but:
- Historical accounts, particularly those concerning events before written records were kept, may rely on oral tradition and cannot always be independently verified.
- The Family Tree is an ongoing, living record and is explicitly incomplete — it reflects only the names and branches documented so far, and we welcome corrections and additions.
- Where sources disagree (for example, on numbering or dates within the Awujale succession), we note this on the relevant page rather than presenting a single account as definitive.
03Links to external and archival sources
Our Library & Archives pages link to third-party websites, digital repositories, and downloadable documents (including academic journals, university repositories, and digitised colonial government records) for research purposes. These external sites are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or accuracy, and linking to them does not imply our endorsement. These links may change or become unavailable over time, as they are outside our control.

- We may edit submissions for clarity, length, or formatting, and we reserve the right to decline to publish any submission, at our discretion.
- Submissions relating to the passing of a family member, celebrations, or invitations are published as a courtesy to the family and may be edited or removed at the family's request.
